On 15th March 1902 a party of officials and civic dignatories from Burnley, Reedley, Brierfield and Nelson travelled on the new electric tram link to Nelson. The route from Padiham had previously only run to Brennand St. The Burnley Express on 18/3/1902 p. 3 reported on the journey and that photographs were taken on arrival in Nelson, location of this photo.
