Pendle Water by Chamber Hill, Brierfield
Brierfield
Known locally as 'The Pebbled Beach'.
The photograph was taken just above where the weir supplying the leat to Jewel Mill used to be. The trees in the background are the lower fringes of Raven's Clough Woods (also known as Brierfield Woods).
Situated on the bend of Pendle Water opposite an old loading point (possibly from the mill - I have photos) and just before where the waterfall used to be. Only accessible through the field at the bottom of Quaker bridge, where it had been cut-off by the M65, opposite the subway (through Farmer Heap's field).
