This is one of a series of Guild year images donated to us by Mary Piper of the Preston Montserrat and Friends Association. Montserratians had first come to Preston in the 1950s to work in the UK and a second influx arrived in the 1990s as result of damage caused by volcanic eruptions on the Island.

This image shows members of the Association in masquerade dress and national dress on the day of an exhibition held at Harris Library Museum and Art Gallery in Preston.
