Market Street, Bacup 1889-1908. The Bull's Head Hotel was demolished in 1911 and replaced by the King George V public house now converted into offices but, at the time of the royal visit in 1913 it was the only hostelry in the country to bear the name of the reigning monarch . Ebenezer Baptist Church can be seen above the hotel's roof. The buildings on the right have been demolished and those to the left , although at first glance appearing similar to today, have been extensively altered.
