Details

During the filming of an episode of Poirot at the Midland hotel, a quick car replacement had to be found after the vehicle that was supposed to bring the title character (played by David Suchet) to the midland broke down whilst camera's where rolling. The Midland hotel received refurbishment and set dressing to in order to look like the 1930's setting of Poirot, but 1989 hotel life still went on, much to the delight of hotel residents.
