Datestone above door reads 1660.
In 1832 the farm was left in the will of John Hargreaves to John Henry Thursby of Ormrod.
The attached land streched from the Leeds Liverpool Canal to Leeds Road.
In 1923 Nelson Corporation purchesed a large portion of this land to build housing along Reedyford Road, Regent Street, and Charles Street which ran just to the East of the farmhouse.
To the west and North alotments remained on the former farmland.
The farmhouse itself was demolished around 1970 and Holy Saviours Primary School was built on the remaining farmland.
