This image was loaned by Mrs Pat Walton of the Lea Women's Institute in Preston in April 2012. It shows Mrs Walton as Pat Durant, aged 16 in Miller Park during the 1952 Preston Guild celebrations prior to joining the Schools' Pageant on Avenham Park. She was a Nursery Nurse student at Alston Hall at the time.
