This brooch was awarded to a suffragette ex-prisoner, possibly one of the Preston women who were imprisoned in Holloway for suffrage activity. It was designed by Sylvia Pankhurst and shows a portcullis symbolising the House of Commons and prisoner's arrow in the Women's Political and Social Union colours of purple, white and green.
