Wycoller
Photograph shows Wycoller Hall from the old coach road. Wycoller Hall is listed grade II*, with the earliest parts dating from 1596, with alterations during the following two centuries. The hall was the home of the Cunliffe family until the death of Henry Owen Cun;liffe in 1818. Traditionally the hall is seen as the inspiration for Ferndean Manor in Charlotte Bronte's "Jane Eyre". Wycoller also featured in the novels of Halliwell Sutcliffe. The old coach road leads from the hall up to the road running from Laneshawbridge to Haworth.
