General notes
Monk Holme was built in the late 1860s for Anthony Buck Creeke and was later occupied by a Mrs Lucy Hartley who had connections with Jewel Mill. It was latterly a nursing and maternity home serving the area before Bank Hall Maternity hospital was commissioned. At the time of this photograph it was a delapidated shell and was finally demolished to make way for a new dwelling.
