Photograph shows Winewall from above Buttock Laithe Farm. Winewall is a small hamlet overlooking the road to Trawden. It was best known for its Inghamite Chapel (closed 1998 and since demolished). The graveyard amd Inghamite Sunday School building remain and the latter has been converted into houses. Sir Amos Nelson, the leading cotton manufacturer was born in the hamlet in 1860.
