Former White Lion public house. The brewery was Ellis, Warde & Co. who built the Bath Springs brewery in Ormskirk in 1902. The same brewery owned the Fox and Goose, The Alexandra, the Crown Inn, The George, The Horseshoe, The Brown Cow and The Tawd Vale Inn in Skelmersdale as well as numerous public houses in and around Ormskirk and Wigan.
