"St George's Gardens were renamed Ashton Gardens in honour of the generous gift made by Lord Ashton. The driveway leading from the entrance (once used as a builders'' yard by the Porritt family) leads to the war memorial."

Fylde Borough Council obtained a lottery grant in 2006 to renovate the Gardens. This project was completed in 2010.
