Rawtenstall
Photograph taken from the bottom of Haslingden Old Road shows the Tup Bridge before the construction of the new by-pass in Rawtenstall, St Mary's Way, at its junction with Burnley Road and Newchurch Road (in the centre of the image). Tup Bridge can be seen to the bottom right of the image where it passes over the River Limey. The building with the Masseys poster on the side is the Rams Head, which is now a beauty therapists and hairdressers but was originally a pub built in the early 19th Century. Higher Mill can be seen to the right of the photograph, which was taken in 1965.
