A group of children in their best clothes, taking part in All Saints' Church Walking Day. Here the children can be seen on Lowerhouse Lane where it meets what is now Kidrow Lane at 'Lane Ends'.

These walks generally occurred on Whit Monday and involved the congregation walking around the interior of the church and then gathering outside to sing hymns. They then walked down Padiham Road and in to the Lowerhouse area where they again gathered to sing more hymns.
