General notes
This carved head of an Irishman, who was killed in the making of Faugh's Delph was found in the building stone extracted from that quarry in the building of Black Moss Reservoirs (Barley). The stone is very coarse-grained, massive sandstone of the Warley Wise Grit.

Faugh's Delph is the supposed location of where the Pendle Witch Demdike, first encountered the devil.
