Browsholme Hall
Clitheroe
Browsholme is a superb Jacobean country house built of red sandstone. It is the home of the Parker family, hereditary Bowbearers of the Forest of Bowland. The house was built by Edmund Parker on the site of an old wattle and daub house, known as Nether Browsholme. Edmund built a stone house when he married Elizabeth Redmayne, a wealthy heiress and landscaped the gardens in an Italian style.

This image shows the front facade and main entrance to the house.
