Whalley Village from The Nab
Whalley
Photograph showing a view of Whalley village from the Nab, a sharply rising wooded hill to the south of the River Calder just visible in the foreground. The bridge across the river carries the road to Blackburn and is unchanged since the image was taken.
The principal village street, King Street, can be seen with houses either side. Whalley church with the ruined Abbey below it in trees is to the left of the picture. The village has now been extended over the surrounding fields.
