This is a photograph of Frank Davis, who was a well known local character in both sporting and dramatic circles, as Ben Hur, in the procession for one of Accrington's fund-raising carnivals for Accrington Victoria Hospital during the 1920s. Mr Davis later moved to London, and was secretary of the London-Accrington Association until his death in 1963.
