Pighole Mill
Briercliffe
Very little is known of the history of Pighole Mill (also known as Fern Valley). Frost, (A Lancashire Township) suggests that it was used as a corn mill and later as a bobbin mill. By the mid 19th century it was home to weavers. The building was occupied up to the 1960's and then abandoned. It has now been restored as two dwellings.
