"On 12th October 1924 the St Annes War Memorial was unveiled, witnessed by a crowd of 15,000. Designed by Sir Walter Marsden, MC, the cost of £10,000 was met by Lord Ashton. The names of 170 men from St Annes are inscribed on the Roll of Honour"
