The "Wennington" was built by the Lune Shipbuilding Co where the Company operated from 1863 to 1870. The picture was taken at Lancaster's New Quay shortly after its launch on the 30th of March 1865 (It's construction shed can be seen in the background). James Williamson's linoleum works later took over the site.
