General notes

Grade II listed building. Farmhouse, probably early 17th century, altered in 1838. The datestone on the porch bears the initials of John Taylor. In the 17th century, the house was the home of the Kenyon family. Dorothy (one of the daughters of Roger Kenyon (died 1636), married Major General Charles Worsley, an ardent supporter of Oliver Cromwell. He was elected MP for Manchester in 1654 and was buried in Westminster Abbey in 1656.
