"The visit of King George Vth and Queen Mary to Accrington and Broad Oak Printworks on July 9th 1913. This was the first visit of a reigning monarch to Accrington. The photo shows the King and Mr William Browning, the Manager walking down the works. The King and Queen performed the operation of "Block printing", the blocks and cloth printed are to be seen in the Museum. The film taken of the event, is also preserved for future years."
