Note the signal box (behind the 'No Road Sign') This box is situated between the platform and the viaduct and was from 1871. The Stevens Box extended in 1882.
Box closed c.1939 and replaced by second-hand wooden cabin on opposite side of the tracks beyond the platform with 'No Road Sign'- This box closed in 1971.
