Rev Edward James Peniston, vicar of Orcheston St Mary's, Wiltshire, married Kathleen Doris Lawrence, only daughter of Rev J T Lawrence, vicar of St Peter's. Rev Peniston subsequently became vicar of St Peter's. Miss Lawrence was captain of the 2nd Accrington troop of Girl Guides who formed a guard of honour at the wedding. The groom's surname is misspelt 'Penistan' on the photograph.
