General notes
The Golf House was the headquarters of the Accrington Golf Club, at the time when the Coppice was laid out for golf links. In 1909, William Peel of Knowlmere presented the town with the land for the purpose of public playgrounds and park. The Golf House was retained as a refreshment room for the park, and in the course of time was demolished.
