Private Grimshaw Parkinson, born 1881 (pictured third from the left on the back row), served in the Boer War and the Great War. He was wounded, had a steel plate put in his chest, and was in receipt of a war pension. Parkinson lived at 29 Devonshire Street in Accrington and died on 18th March 1963, at 19 Scott Street in Clayton-Le-Moors.
