A unique photo taken of the bed of Warmden Reservoir during the drought of October 1929. Here is uncovered a retaining wall of the reservoir previous to it being extended in the 1860's. The original reservoir burst its banks in 1812, the water rushing down the hillside in torrents and flooding the houses at Higher Fold, and swept away a stone building and bridge. Mr Alfred Hindle of the well known Hindle family of Broad Oak, is standing on the wall by the waterfall
