General notes

Low Moor was an old moorland farm above the old highway to the south of Hameldon. It bore the date 1665, and had remains of mullioned windows. Here was the old home of the Halstead family, in the latter part of the 17th Century, and throughout the 18th. Low Moor passed out of their possession in the beginning of the 19th Century.
