General notes
This old farm is situated to the west of the old Hameldon highway, with which it is connected by an occupation road. It is interesting, as it bears a stone panel over the door, bearing the date 1688, and the initials of five members of the Halstead family, who formerly resided here. This family were prominently connected with St. James' Church, Accrington during the 18th Century.
