The Royal visit of King George V took place 9th July 1913 and the image must therefore be on or around that date. The photo shows the crossroad that joins lower and upper Deardengate -(upper being the centre of the photo) Blackburn road (to the left of the photo) and Manchester road (to the right of the photo). The building shown on the left is Spectrum one hairdressers at the date of this writing and the buildings on the right include what is now Sissy Greens. The tip of Haslingden library is also in view on the right.
