General notes
The first electric trams were introduced to the town in 1901. However, their biggest advocate, Henry Mosley retired in 1930. His successor, Charles Stafford quickly set about replacing trams with buses. By 1935 Burnley's tram network was no more. No. 38 illustrated was added to the fleet in 1903 and is a "Double deck- open top, Brill bogie builder Milnes", a top cover was fitted to this tram between 1914 and 1920.
