This barge looks to be moored on the stretch of canal to the east of Reedyford Road, Nelson. To the left, over the wall, are Swinden Brook playing fields and ahead, around the corner is Swinden Bridge a 'change line' bridge. (A change line bridge is where the towing horse changes sides of the canal without being unhitched by walking over the bridge).
