Last day for bowls at Milton Street, Nelson, adjacent to Seedhill Football ground. These two bowling greens were in the path of the M65 motorway and were closed on the 17th September 1982. Replacement greens and a pavilion, were constructed across Carr Road next to Victoria Park, but these have now (2014) closed.
