General notes

The boundary between the districts of Burnley and Pendle runs down the centre of Catlow Brook, which flows across Robin House Lane at this point. The road surface at the ford is paved with cobbles, rather than tarmac. A later photograph (2013) shows a crash barrier has been erected to prevent vehicles going over the small waterfall. Stepping stones are provided for pedestrians.
