This seven mile race took place on Sunday 26th August 1990. The runners are passing the Salvation Army Citadel, which was demolished to make way for the ACE Centre. At the end of the street is the former Weavers Institute, which became the Silverman Hall in memory of Sidney Silverman, MP for Nelson 1935-1968.
