Springbridge over the River Ribble at Low Moor was constructed as a private access to Waddow Hall. The hall was owned by the Garnett family, cotton manufacturers at Low Moor mill. The bridge was destroyed by melting ice in 1945 and rebuilt by Castle Cement (now Hansons) in 1948. The bridge fell into disrepair but was rebuilt about 2007 using imported timber from Sweden.
