The Ribblesdale Buck Hounds had regular Meets across the area, many starting from Gisburne Park. The image shows hounds, riders and followers moving off with the Gatehouses/Lodges behind them. The diaries of a Blackburn businessman, James Hargreaves, record the practice of keeping a live Buck, transporting it to the hunting area allocated for the day, releasing it, then recapturing it before it was attacked by the hounds.
