Buckhaw Brow sits on the "old" A65 at the top end of Giggleswick Scar, just outside the Yorkshire Dales town of Giggleswick. At the top of a "long pull" it was, as one can see in the photograph, a favourite resting place for cyclists and was once an important truck stop. It has now been by-passed by the new trunk road forming the Settle by-pass. However, it remains a popular stopping point for those wishing to enjoy its elevated position and fine views towards Bowland across to the West.
