General notes
The mid-15th Century rebuilding of the church is fully reflected in the interior with its typical late mediaeval style. The ceiling is remarkable. This image along the nave (probably lengthened and widened in Sir Ralph Pudsey’s rebuilding work) looks towards the elevated altar from the font.

Many pews in the nave are dated 1694 and several have their original occupants’ initials or names carved into them. The chancel was refurbished in the 19th Century.
