General notes
This image shows the ruins of the buildings on the eastern side of the Cloister; the Sacristy, Chapter House and Penitentiary. At the time of the photograph, the ground had been cleared and made part of the gardens. More recently, low stone walls, indicative of the originals, have been added and the paving in this image removed. The structure of the remains of the building do not square with an earlier interpretation that this was the Fratry/Day Room of the monks, although the dimensions and general appearance are similar.
