General notes

Bridge, c.1800. Sandstone ashlar. Single segmental arch with furrowed
band. Solid parapet has rounded top, ramped where it meets pilaster
strips at outer ends and in centre.
The bridge has tight bends on each side of the river causing HGV lorries to damage the structure frequently when their satnav leads them across the river Ribble by this route.
