In 1935 the Royal Lancashire Show was held between the 1st and the 5th of August on the Prairie playing fields, Burnley.

Here, the 'Greenall' Challenge Cup is being presented for the best Mare or Filly exhibited in the Shire class to James Gould and his son of the same name, who is holding their grey Shire Filly, Lymm Lady Grey. The prize is being presented by Mrs Thornber and Edward George Villiers Stanley, the 17th Earl of Derby (right).
