In 1935 the Royal Lancashire Show was held between the 1st and the 5th of August on the Prairie playing fields, Burnley.

This photograph is of members the organising committee. On the front row (left to right) are J.H. Heap (Mayor of Burnley), John Thornber (Chairman of the organising committee), and Mrs Heap. The names of the people on the middle row, other than Mrs Thornber (2nd right), are unknown. On the back row is George Duxbury.
