Decorated for the Golden Jubilee of Queen Victoria in 1887. The shop was built on the site of Temple Stairs, the former home of the Ellison family. The shop was later demolished to make way for the Ambulance Drill Hall. The railway viaduct, completed in 1848, can be seen behind the shop.
