General notes
The last weaving shed to be built in Great Harwood. Plans were passed in 1914, but the outbreak of the First World War delayed construction. Weaving finally started in November 1919. The recession in the cotton industry in the 1930s meant that the mill was mothballed in 1931. It was later used for the manufacture of artificial silk. It was bought by Oxo Ltd in 1976 and was completely demolished in 1984. The chimney was felled in November of that year.
