Identifying the exact location of this image has been challenging, but it appears likely to have been taken over one of the two large streams that run through the Dewhurst Wood, near Dewhurst House, into the River Ribble above Ribchester, and only a little way downstream from the Ferry. It is possible that the three well-dressed ladies in the image were from Dewhurst House.
