This view of Burnley, looking towards the railway viaduct, was taken from the Weaver's Triangle area. In the years since this photograph was taken there have been many changes in the urban landscape. Notably, the former Prestige works (top right) have been demolished and have been replaced by a shopping complex. A number of the old mills in the foreground have also been removed.
