This photograph was taken from the roof of St. Peter's Church, looking down towards the junction of Church Street and Ormerod Road.

The building in the centre is the Talbot Hotel. The original Talbot Inn was built in 1626 and was part of the old centre of Burnley, opposite the parish church. However, renovation of the area in the late 1800's led to its rebuilding in 1888.
